Qdoba at 2 am.....

...is much like Qdoba at 2pm except the patrons are drunk.

I just wish I had a picture from last night.

Back to the Future Ride Closing, Sad

This was my favorite ride at Universal Studios, Orlando. I can understand why they are closing it since it takes its theme from movies that came out in the late 80's early 90's. So many younger people may not think it is that cool.

I remember riding it when there was nothing there except the main park. My mom, brother and myself visited the park before they had built all of the other things like islands of adventure and city walk.

Part of what I really liked was the way they built up the experience. The story was Biff has stolen one of the time traveling DeLoreans to wreak havoc throughout time. From the moment you get in line it starts building this story. When you get inside you are put in a room with 7 other people filled with replica memorabilia from the films. A video of Doc tells you that he is going to let you test out the new 8 passenger DeLorian to go chase after Biff. In order to get him back you have to hit him with your car.

The door opens into a garage and you see a realistic looking DeLorian sitting there. They do an excellent job of making you think it is just you and your group. When the ride starts the DeLorian lifts up out of the garage where you see a huge screen. The car moves with the actions on the screen. If you look to your left or right in the car you can see the others. At the end it brings you back into the garage.
