About Me
Hello, my name is Jamie.
I am a User Experience Designer and DesignOps leader based in Atlanta, GA. I am currently employed as a Sr. UX Manager as part of Honeywell's Connected Enterprise UX department.
I manage a team of UX designers who are working on the Honeywell Forge UI design system. I am also the DesignOps lead and have slowly grown that practice
I am passionate about working with users to create the best systems possible. I believe, that to get the best possible result, users must engage throughout the entire design process. In my role, I prioritize interactions with customers for the whole team, not just the UX designer. Understanding our customers allows us to create better products.
I completed a Masters’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction Design at Indiana University in Bloomington. My interest in this field centers on creating useful, usable interactions with technology using a human-centered design methodology.
I am also one of the founding leaders of IxDA’s Atlanta chapter and continue to help lead the group today.
Below is a video from an interview I did with Adobe at their Atlanta Design Jam in May 2016. I helped judge the design competition.
